Only about a week to go until New Zealand! The reloading for the 30-06 and the 7mm Mag has begun. The airline limits us to 5kgs (11 lbs) of ammo per person. By my calculations that gives us about 140 rounds each. With all the cull hunts James P has us booked for I hope we have enough..... -James-

We're back. What a trip! Goat culls followed by fallow deer followed by fishing followed by a red stag hunt...all in 7 days. A big thanks to our host James P for putting it all together. And thanks to Ranginui Hunting for taking care of our stag hunt. Pics and video from the hunt should start appearing in the next week or two...or as our technical limitations allow. -James-

Chris bumped into this little buck in his driveway yesterday. Imagine his surprise when the deer not only let him approach it...but let him pet it! The rumor around the neighborhood is that this deer was orphaned as a fawn last year and has been hanging around peoples houses looking for attention ever since. -James-

Here is round 2 of our NZ goat cull!!! More goats getting culled off of a large NZ sheep ranch. Sorry for some of the poor camera work...with high numbers of goats around to film, the goats getting shot are often off-screen....others we just missed. -James-

Chris, Michael and I broke down and went for the first bear hunt of the year on the weekend...and we were too early, as usual. With the exceptionally cold weather this spring there was far more snow than bears in the bush around Quesnel. We did see two twin bull moose though.... -James-

Chris has put together a collection of some of our longer range shots (300 to 500+ yrds) taken during our recent New Zealand goat cull. The country was great for this type of shooting and really gave us a chance to reach out there! -James-
